Assignment 3, Limerick

There once was a stripper from Wales
Who sold himself to welthy males
“What a wonderful thing”
Said the stingy king
And tried to buy him on sales

  1. Oh, a male stripper, is it? xD
I'm a bit curious as to the rhythm on the second and fifth lines, because they are both on 10 syllables whereas line 1 is only eight (at least when I try to count them) and I feel a bit thrown off my balance when trying to read it out loud.
I'm certainly no expert on limericks, but.. I don't know, just a thought. The stingy king seems like a nice enough person though xD

  2. Yes it is :).
Hmm.. I know, it was really hard to find the words. But I managed to read it out loud a couple of times but I guess I had to be really quick to make it fit ;). I'll have to see what to do about it... But I really like it the way it is :P.
And yes, I believe the king is a nice fellow ;).

  3. Funny limerick ;) it's creative and has some really good rhymes. I'm not an expert in limericks but to me the rhytm sounded alright when I was reading it out loud.
